Where clinical expertise embraces holistic values to provide a full circle women’s health and well-being service.
“Once we understand the true nature of a woman’s hormonal life cycle, accept the symptoms and what we can do to keep ourselves healthy, we can celebrate our feminine energy, acknowledge the intuition within us all and share this knowledge with younger generations and loved one’s so that they view our hormonal bodies not with fear and anxiety, but instead with respect, understanding and love’’ Catherine Clowe

Coaching one to one, or in a group, is a wonderful way to instill confidence in yourself to really understand your body and precious self. The changes our bodies go through during these times can feel really scary, but with gentle coaching, knowledge giving and helping you to embrace and craft a plan for yourself you will feel empowered, free and able to nurture your mind, body and spirit so you can feel strong and balanced again. During the coaching session Catherine will cover holistic practices and lifestyle changes which will help you to feel 100% confident and able to care for yourself to take you and your amazing body to the next level.
Catherine is happy to chat through HRT using current up to date information and data, but she is not a clinician and will refer you back to your GP armed with the knowledge you need, or to our specialist women’s health GP Dr Becky Curtis (service starting in Sept 23) for any clinical assistance.

During the menopause it is crucial to care for our bodies even more than we would usually. Eating healthy, nutritious simply prepared meals made from fresh ingredients will help to make us feel more grounded, calm, balanced and healthy. You will learn what is the best time of day to eat certain foods, which types of foods are best avoided to reduce particular symptoms and how to find alternatives which are just as tasty and enjoyable.
Alongside nutrition other lifestyle choices such as getting up and going to bed at the same time each day, taking regular exercise, enjoying time outdoors, socialising with friend’s and loved ones, reducing our intake of stimulants such as caffeine and depressants such as alcohol can have hugely positive effects on our quality of sleep, alertness, mental health, weight, skin, in fact our overall health. During times of hormonal in-balance these lifestyle changes will become crucial in regaining the balance you need to feel fabulous again.

Catherine is our yoga and pilates teacher, she is a member of Yoga Alliance and qualified to teach several types of yoga including, Hatha vinyasa flow, Power yoga, Yoga Nidra and Menopause yoga (MY). Menopause yoga is a specialism which only has a limited number of practitioners in the UK who are trained to teach. This has been proven to help reduce certain symptoms such as sleep disturbance, fatigue and irritability and to manage hot flushes, aching joints, low mood… Catherine was fortunate to be trained by Petra Coveney the founder of MY (menopause yoga).
Catherine begins her classes with a beautiful, relaxing meditation to help relax the mind. Longer guided meditation sessions are also available which complement the Yoga NIdra sessions perfectly.
Several different type of breath-work have been found to be incredibly beneficial in reducing particularly disturbing and very common symptoms of the menopause, such as anxiety, panic attacks, hot flushes, low mood. The most effective breath-work techniques will be taught by Catherine during classes and workshops.

More about Odyssey
As busy working Mum’s, with limited time, we were very fortunate to meet each other when our boy’s had a play date, we soon realised that we got on famously, had plenty in common and were rather fascinated in what we both did for a job. That joint interest stretched to several coffees, dog walk’s and Friday morning meetings which led us to firmly believe that we had a lot to offer to other women. We both knew from our own experiences personally and through our lovely clients at work how women really struggle to enjoy their lives when their hormones appear to be playing havoc. We wanted to use our expertise to guide, nurture and educate women.
We have been called the ‘dream team’ we have been asked ‘why has this never been done before?’, a clinical wonder woman meets a holistic goddess to swoop down and protect these amazing women who just need support and guidance in what can be really tricky moments in life.
Its a journey through rough sea’s, avoiding looming rocks, raging storms and sometimes sea monsters but we can assure you that the calm, tranquil ocean will lull you in to peace again along with a strong anchor to ground you back to yourself, do not fear the storm.
We are Odyssey and we are here to guide you.
